jazz singer who spent considerable time in Mainz, lends the name to a unique shop run by Richard Mimoun. His „Souvenirs de Mayence“ includes every conceivable item from T-shirts to thimbles bearing the City’s coat-of-arms. Born in Algeria, Mimoun is a French citizen who’s lived 27 years here. The one-time bartender at the Mainz Hilton, he is the City’s „Figaro.“ He knows everybody and everything. Located in Fort Malakoff Park Rhineside, „Souvenirs“ is adjacent City Hall. Richard and his shop are a local institution.
