The Coordination Office serves as the point of contact between residents, the city administration, the City Council, and municipal committees on all matters related to citizen participation. It provides information on ongoing projects and advises and supports Mainz residents in initiating their own participatory processes.

In addition, it coordinates the city administration’s participation processes and organizes the meetings of the Advisory Board for Citizen Participation. Its goal is to strengthen citizen participation in Mainz and to make “Shaping Mainz Together” a living reality.
