Theme year 2025: People and learning

People are once again at the heart of the 2025 theme year: in the topics and also directly in the various events and activities that the MAINZER WISSENSCHAFTSALLIANZ 2025 invites you to take part in!

Theme year 2025: People and learning

People and learning

Learning is one of the key skills that sets humans apart. It accompanies us from the very first moments of life and shapes our entire development. Humans learn not only to survive, but also to grow—mentally, emotionally, and socially. Learning is much more than just acquiring knowledge. It means facing new challenges, finding solutions, and continuously developing oneself.

The theme year "People and Learning" focuses on the questions: How do we learn best? Which processes support us in this? And how is digitalization changing learning? In 2025, the aim is to explore the importance of learning, discover new perspectives, and seek exchange – for a future shaped by knowledge and education.

Mainz, as an established center of science and research, offers the ideal setting for this theme year. Here, scientific institutions, universities, and research-based companies work closely together to promote learning and knowledge exchange. With innovative educational approaches and a dynamic connection between science and the public, Mainz is continuously setting new trends that are significant not only locally but also internationally.
