As training institutions, the daycare centers in the state capital of Mainz offer between 30 and 40 positions each year for vocational trainees who are preparing for their final exams to become state-certified educators. In cooperation with technical colleges, the daycare centers supervise and guide the prospective professionals. The interns learn how to work with children of different age groups in our various municipal facilities. The spectrum of care provided by our facilities ranges from nurseries and kindergartens to after-school care centers and mixed-age groups.

At some technical colleges for social services specializing in social pedagogy, it is possible to complete training as an educator on a part-time basis.

The part-time training program lasts a total of 3 to 5 years. Personal requirements are decisive for the duration of the training.
