Map display
In the map section of the application, the land use plan is displayed in various generalizations, depending on the scale range.
After the system is started, an FNP overview map with reduced content and without a cadastral background is displayed for the entire city area.
In the range between 1:20,000 and 1:7,500, the land use plan is displayed with all objects but without the cadastre. Within the scale range from 1:7,500 to the maximum adjustable scale of 1:2,500, you can view the land use plan with all objects, including the current cadastre.
At all scale levels, you have the option of deactivating the "FNP-2010" theme in the navigation area under "Theme selection" for orientation purposes. This theme can be found under the heading "Land use plan" in the "PLANNING, BUILDING, LIVING" section. Depending on the scale range, either an overview map of the settlement areas, the city map, or the current cadastral map will be displayed after switching off the visibility of the land use plan.
Navigation in the map area
You can navigate the map area by either using the navigation symbols or by using the street search function to move to the desired section of the map.
When searching for a street, simply enter part of the street name and then click on the "OK" button. If this procedure returns several streets with the same initial letters, you can select the desired street from a list. When you use the street search function, you will be taken to the area surrounding the selected street, which is displayed at a maximum scale of 1:2,500.
Plan legend, explanatory report, editorial update to the land use plan
You can find the legend, explanatory report, and editorial update to the land use plan in two ways:
- Select "Theme selection" in the navigation area and then click on the downward-pointing arrow in front of the "FNP-2010" theme. After clicking on the arrow symbol, a menu will open where you can select "Open legend."
- Click on the "Info on available map topics" button in the menu bar at the top of the map and then select the menu item "Land use plan 2010" under "61-City Planning Office" in the topic overview that opens.
Both methods will take you to the links "Legend," "Explanatory Report," "Editorial Update 2004," and "Editorial Update 2010," which, when clicked, will display the linked files in their own (Acrobat) windows.
Further information
Location of FNP objects
Since the FNP usage boundaries and the linear and point FNP objects were mainly recorded on the basis of older digitized analog map data, they do not always correspond completely with the current official map background used in this application.
Coloring of FNP areas, area hatching
Due to technical restrictions when displaying different maps with many colors, the colors of the FNP areas in the overview scale range do not always correspond exactly to the colors in the plan legend.
In the same scale range, the area hatching used is displayed as simple parallel lines rather than parallel bands as in the legend due to the generalization required here.
In the scale ranges in which all FNP objects are displayed (see above), however, the FNP areas are largely true to color and the hatching is displayed in the same way as in the legend.
