Land use plan

Editorial update

The land use plan for the city of Mainz, which came into effect on May 24, 2000, has since been revised twice. This was prompted by numerous planning changes and corrections made in recent years, in particular the land use plan amendments that came into effect and the informational adoptions. There have also been changes in the existing inventory that are considered necessary to take into account in the land use plan.

The first editorial update was carried out in July 2004. In total, the editorial changes and corrections made amounted to 90 points. Six years later, in March 2010, the second editorial update was carried out. A total of 28 changes and corrections were made as part of this update. However, this does not affect the basic planning principles of the effective and still valid land use plan dated May 24, 2000.

The editorially updated version of the land use plan represents the planning objectives and actual uses pursued on the basis of decisions made by the municipal committees as of March 2010.
