Protestant church in and around Mainz
Accompanying people in old age, illness, and even on their deathbed, as well as in times of mourning, is one of the fundamental tasks of the Protestant Church. This is done in many different ways in the congregations. The pastors are your contact persons in the event of a death and funeral, and they will organize and conduct the funeral service together with you.
Upon request, a blessing ceremony, which is a ritual farewell ceremony in the presence of the deceased, can also be held. The funeral home will usually make the necessary arrangements for you.
