FOM - The university for professionals

The non-profit FOM University of Applied Sciences is an initiative of the non-profit Foundation for International Education and Science. In Mainz, FOM has been offering eleven part-time degree courses since the 2020 winter semester.

Studying at the FOM University

With around 45,000 students, FOM is one of the largest universities in Europe. Initiated by the non-profit Foundation for International Education and Science, it enables working professionals, trainees, high school graduates, and international students to pursue a university degree. Its goal: a state-recognized FOM university degree in one of more than 60 accredited bachelor's and master's degree programs. Students can study on campus at over 30 university centers nationwide or digitally from anywhere in the world.

FOM offers part-time bachelor's and master's degree programs in Mainz in fields such as economics and IT. Students can choose between evening, daytime, and weekend formats in Campus Study+ on site or in location-independent Digital Live Study. In many degree programs, it is possible to switch between the two formats each semester. Classes in Mainz are held on the premises of Johannes Gutenberg University.
