Gutenberg souvenirs on the Internet
The Gutenberg Foundation's Gutenberg Shop, which is run by numerous volunteers, offers a varied and sophisticated range of products.
In addition to reprinted pages from the Bible and other important works of printmaking, such as Schedel's World Chronicle, the Mainz Psalter, and the Koberger Bible in various editions, the world's smallest book, containing the Lord's Prayer in seven languages, is also available for purchase there.
Attractive, classic gift items and rare items from Miniaturbuchverlag Leipzig are available, as are (multi-award-winning) reference books, catalogs, and children's books on the art of printing, Gutenberg, and typography, the award-winning city guide "Mainz transparent," and posters. The Gutenberg Shop also stocks the (paperback!) catalog for the historical exhibition "Gutenberg. aventur und kunst," which is undisputedly the standard work on Gutenberg research.
But the Gutenberg Shop also stocks 'objects' that pay homage to Gutenberg and the black art through their high-quality design and materials.
And that's not all: handmade paper, postcards, pens, quills, ink, and writing sets are also available. Fans of hand-bound notebooks and address books will also find what they are looking for here. In (almost) all cases, a portion of the purchase price is donated to the Friends of the Gutenberg Museum, which benefits the museum itself.
