Mainz wine market in the city park

The 89th Mainz Wine Market took place from August 28 to 31, 2025 and September 4 to 7, 2025 in the Stadtpark.

At the end of August and beginning of September, the city park becomes the top destination for wine lovers. The spacious green space with its rose garden provides a romantic backdrop for Mainz's largest wine festival.

You can sample wines from Mainz and Rheinhessen in particular, but also from the Rheingau and Nahe regions at the wine market.

At the sparkling wine festival in the rose garden, on the long benches throughout the grounds, or sitting on the large lawns, you can taste, chat, and celebrate to your heart's content.

If you're in the mood for arts and crafts, the artists' market in the Rosengarten is the place to be.

This year, the wine market will take place from August 28 to 31 and from September 4 to 7, 2025.

Thursdays: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Fridays: 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Saturdays: 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Sundays: 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Heavy traffic is expected during the wine market weekend. For a relaxed visit to the wine market, we recommend traveling to and from the event by public transport.

Leave your car in the garage and enjoy the wide range of wines on offer without any worries. The Mainz Mobility buses will take you directly to the wine market grounds.

Take bus lines 62 or 92 to the "Rosengarten" stop, various lines to "An der Favorite" and "Stadtpark," or the train/S-Bahn/bus to "Römisches Theater."

There will be a bicycle parking area at the bridge between Volkspark and Stadtpark.
