Film evening "Cycling Cities" with panel discussion

City from above with text Cycling Cities

Ingwar Perowanowitsch spent two months traveling through Europe by bike. He started in Freiburg and visited cities such as Paris, Ghent, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Groningen, Hamburg and Copenhagen with his camera in tow. Perovanovich wanted to find out why they are considered particularly liveable, what they do to achieve this and what other municipalities can learn from them.

The inspiring film "Cycling Cities" by journalist and filmmaker Ingwar Perowanowitsch will be presented on April 13, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Natural History Museum, Reichklarastr. 1, by the Mainz Cycling Forum, an association of Mainz transport and environmental organizations. The filmmaker will be present for the discussion following the screening.

Another screening of the film will take place on March 28, 2026, at 6 p.m. at krumm & schepp. Following the film, representatives from Mainz Neustadt are invited to a panel discussion to talk about how Mainz can be made livable for everyone.

Further information on the events and the organizers can be found in the event calendar.
