Our goals:

- Leveraging the strengths, structures, networking opportunities, potential, and opportunities of Mainz sports for contemporary development.
- Create modern sports facilities.
- Updating and implementing the land use plan and sports facility master plan.
- Ensure training and competition facilities for the sports traditionally favored in Mainz: soccer, athletics, indoor sports (such as volleyball, basketball, handball, hockey, wrestling, tennis, badminton, indoor soccer).
- Enrich the range of swimming facilities with a modern leisure pool, possibly with the option of hosting major swimming events.
- Create sports facilities for trend, leisure, and popular sports.
- Design sports facilities in a modern style, build them in sufficient numbers and in locations that meet demand, with appropriate equipment and spectator-friendly layouts.
- Consider and promote sports for children and young people as a worthwhile investment in the future.
- Expand the range of recreational sports on offer.
- Enable participation in regular and supervised sports, even without club membership.
- Strengthen the promotion of club sports.
- Sports in Mainz demonstrate their diversity.
- From aerobics to decathlon, from sports for young children to sports for seniors, from recreational sports to Olympic victories.
- Take a comprehensive approach to promoting sports so that all athletes can continue to pursue their hobbies in the future – in popular sports, recreational sports, sports for young children, sports for seniors, rehabilitation sports, sports for people with disabilities, integrative sports, competitive sports, and high-performance sports.
- Ensure the appropriate framework conditions so that Mainz will continue to produce world champions, Olympic champions, European champions, European Cup winners, German champions, Bundesliga clubs, cup winners, national squad athletes, and many other high-performance athletes in the future.
- Include trend sports.
- Expand the range of meaningful leisure activities to include contemporary sports.
- Arouse and develop interest in modern sports.
- Use the sometimes low-threshold nature of trend sports to facilitate access to sport.
- Plan and design the corresponding sports facilities in terms of number, density, equipment, locations, and support in line with contemporary requirements.
- Strive for cooperation to ensure the continuous realization of trend sports.
- Sports for visitors to Mainz.
- Be able to do or participate in sports spontaneously.
- Compile the relevant offers from the various providers (e.g., sports clubs) in Mainz and communicate them to guests in Mainz, for example through the mainz STORE / Tourist Information, Mainz Congress, and the hotel industry.
- Promote commitment to and through sport.
- Ensure sport in all its facets, for example by founding a supporting association to promote sport in Mainz.
- Increased assumption of responsibility by sports clubs and their members to relieve the burden on sports administration.
