The Office for Intercultural Affairs and Labor Market Promotion is a staff unit of the mayor and is primarily responsible for the following tasks:
- Further development of the integration and labor market strategy of the state capital Mainz.
- Interface for measures, projects, etc. in the field of integration and labor market policy -Promotion of
- equal opportunities and equal social participation.
- Cooperation with municipal and supraregional institutions, organizations, administrations, associations, etc.
- Eliminating disadvantage and counteracting discrimination and group-focused enmity.
- Passing on information to those seeking advice in cooperation with counseling centers, municipal offices, and institutions.
- Public relations work through information and education as well as the organization of events.
