Approximately 600 square meters of wall space, a room height of around 13 meters, and more than 70 different routes with difficulty levels ranging from 2 to 10 are sure to get climbing enthusiasts' hearts racing: even beginners will find something to suit them at the German Alpine Club's (DAV) "Kletterkiste" climbing center. There is a special training area as well as a children's climbing wall. The special spring floor and underfloor heating complete the facilities.

The German Alpine Club not only operates "Die Kletterkiste" in Mainz-Mombach, it also has its headquarters here. The climbing hall is available to DAV Alpine Club members and non-members. In line with the practices at other DAV climbing centers, different admission prices have been set.

Bouldering thrives on creativity, improvisation, and above all, camaraderie in the climbing gym: BLOCKWERK is bustling with experts, advanced climbers, and beginners on the various artificial climbing walls. The walls are no higher than four meters, but the routes are challenging—all levels of difficulty are covered here.

There are hardly any standard solutions for mastering a boulder, but BLOCKWERK offers various courses that provide inspiration for possible solutions.

HAPIK Mainz is an exciting and action-packed climbing adventure: the many modules with varying degrees of difficulty guarantee safe fun for young and old alike!

From the astroball to the spaghetti mountain to the twister: each climbing element presents climbers with new challenges and offers a variety of experiences. Everyone can find their own way to the top.

What makes it special: HAPIK Mainz uses a fully automatic belay system. It automatically reels in the rope while climbing and gently brings climbers back down to the ground. No second person is needed to belay. Even the youngest children can't go wrong and are welcome from the age of four. Trainers are available in the hall.
