Summer lime tree
The large-leaved lime, also known as "large-leaved lime," is a characteristic tree species in European forests, parks, and avenues. In contrast, the small-leaved lime is known as the "small-leaved lime," and the two tree species differ in that the small-leaved lime has smaller, shiny green leaves with a blue-green, rust-red hairy underside and less fragrant flowers. Summer lindens also require more light and are larger than small-leaved lindens.
The summer linden is much more than just a beautiful tree. It is extremely adaptable to different climates, which makes it an important part of many ecosystems. From its medicinal uses to its function as an important food source for numerous insects attracted by its fragrant flowers, it is a tree of great importance to its immediate habitat.
