The Jupiter Column in Mainz has been undergoing renovation since 2017.

Tales from antiquity
The Jupiter Column, which stands over nine meters tall, is a good example of how ancient structures can vividly recount the past. The inscription at the base of the column sheds light on a turbulent chapter in Roman history during the reign of Emperor Nero.
The coexistence of Roman and Germanic paganism is also exemplified by the column. Twenty-eight reliefs depict Roman and Celtic deities.
The column, which is a copy, has recently been dismantled due to its lack of stability. It is now being renovated in sections. The original Jupiter Column is located in the State Museum.
