A bus full of students, two wineries, and the flavors of Rheinhessen—the GWC Wine Express is back on the road, taking you to the best wineries in the region. Whether you’re a freshman or a upperclassman; whether you’re studying German, computer science, or chemistry; whether you’re at a university or a college; whether you’re from Mainz, Munich, or Milan: On this trip, there’s plenty to see, plenty to learn, and of course, plenty to taste! Discover what makes this region so special. Spend an unforgettable time with your fellow students or take the opportunity to meet new people with whom you already share something in common—a love of wine.

Here you’ll meet the people behind the wine, explore the vineyards and wineries, learn and taste the difference between single-vineyard and local wines—and much more! Always by your side: a Rheinhessen wine ambassador who will accompany the group, share insights about the region, and offer insider tips from a wine connoisseur.

Between June and November, you can explore seven top wineries around Mainz. The selected wineries have all been honored with the GWC’s Best of Wine Tourism Award for their wine tourism offerings.

All you need is a valid student ID and a passion for wine. And you’re all set to go!
