In the shade of the vine leaves...
In Germany’s largest city, located in the country’s largest wine-growing region, it is now possible to be buried among the vines—a site already affectionately known as the “Schorlegräber.” To this end, the Wirtschaftsbetrieb Mainz has planted 9 rows of 5 vines on a slope at the Laubenheim district cemetery, providing space for a total of 72 urn graves and 36 row graves.
