The state capital of Mainz has launched its new microsite (opens in a new tab), “Support Services for People Without a Permanent Residence in Mainz.” For the first time, it brings together the wide range of support services for people without housing and the homeless in one place, making it easier for those affected, their families, professionals, and volunteers to access important information.

The new online platform offers a structured overview of contact points and support services—ranging from overnight accommodations to counseling and health services, all the way to assistance in life-threatening emergencies. The goal is to provide guidance and make access to tailored help as easy as possible.

“Behind every person without a permanent residence lies a personal story. No one should be unable to find the right help because they’re going through a difficult life situation. With the new microsite, we’re creating a central, easily accessible guide that provides direction and quickly connects people with the right support services,” emphasizes Jana Schmöller, Head of Social Affairs.

The microsite is aimed not only at people without a fixed residence, but also at their relatives, supporters, and professionals from social service agencies. By consolidating the available services in one place, the microsite significantly simplifies the search for appropriate assistance and supports collaboration among the various stakeholders in the support system.

With this new online resource, the state capital of Mainz is taking another step toward improving access to information and social assistance and enhancing the visibility of existing support structures in the city.
