Mayor Nino Haase presents 125 naturalization certificates at the PCK
(rap) Like any other state, the Federal Republic of Germany grants its citizens rights that are denied to foreigners who are citizens of other states. Only when they acquire a German passport do these persons also receive the same rights and obligations.
During the naturalization ceremony, which will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 5 p.m., Mayor Nino Haase will present naturalization certificates to 125 fellow citizens from a total of 31 nations at the Peter Cornelius Conservatory (concert hall, Binger Straße 18, 55122 Mainz Mainz). They will be declared German citizens at the moment the documents are handed over. Among them are 102 adults and 23 children/adolescents.
The largest national groups are:
- Syria (28 people),
- Iran (12), Russia (11),
- Turkey (8), Morocco (6), Afghanistan (5),
- Egypt and Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and the USA (4 each),
- Georgia, Iraq, Italy, Madagascar, Pakistan, Vietnam (3 each)
- and many more.
