Head of Schools Delbasteh welcomes French exchange students from Dijon
Today, March 25, 2026, Ata Delbasteh, head of the school department, welcomed 14 French students from the Collège Saint-François de Sales in Dijon as part of a student exchange program.
The visit to Mainz will take place from March 21 to 27, 2026, under the motto “deux villes – trois écoles – un projet / two cities – three schools – one project.” The exchange brings together three schools: the Collège Saint-François de Sales (Dijon), the Maria Ward School (Mainz), and the Willigis Gymnasium (Mainz), and has been ongoing for 60 years.
The group, aged 13 to 14, is in the eighth grade. The French students are staying with students from the Maria Ward School, while the boys are staying with students from the Willigis-Gymnasium. The return visit by the German students to Dijon is planned for May 2026.
The visit’s program includes, among other things, a visit to ZDF, a city scavenger hunt, a trip to Frankfurt with a visit to Experiminta and the Old Town, as well as a visit to the House of Burgundy-Franche-Comté and a workshop in the printing workshop of the Gutenberg Museum.
