The Rivage project will create a total of 72 high-end condominiums, including three Stadthauses, with a total living area of approximately 6
,200 square meters, located directly on the Rhine. The complex is a key component of the neighborhood development in Mainz’s Zollhafen and combines modern architecture with sustainable construction to create high-quality housing. 

In addition to its location directly on the harbor basin, the project is characterized by the surrounding canals and spacious outdoor areas featuring terraces, loggias, balconies, and rooftop terraces. Landscaped open spaces enhance the quality of life and simultaneously contribute to a pleasant microclimate within the neighborhood. The architectural design for Rivage was created by Zanderroth Architekten of Berlin.

With the Rivage, a high-quality contribution to the continued development of the Zollhafen neighborhood is taking shape: modern architecture, sustainable construction, and living in a unique location right on the water. The Zollhafen thus demonstrates how Mainz can combine growth, quality of life, and the transformation of a historic harbor area,” said Nino Haase, Mayor of Mainz, in a written statement.

From an environmental perspective, Rivage relies on sustainable solutions. The residential project is aiming for DGNB Gold certification. Energy is supplied via a district heating connection and supplemented by a large-scale photovoltaic system. In addition, the project meets the requirements of the EU Taxonomy and is being built to KfW 55 standards.

“With the topping-out ceremony, we have reached an important milestone. Many trades and project participants had to work closely together and coordinate their tasks precisely. We intend to continue this strong collaboration in the next construction phase and successfully bring the Rivage to completion together,” added Karl Arnolds, Chairman of the Executive Board of Nesseler Bau GmbH.
