Mainz action plan against child poverty
More than 4,300 children under the age of 15 live in Mainz on ALG II benefits. Due to social exclusion, children and parents feel the consequences of poverty on a daily basis. The stakeholders in Mainz are taking action. The city council initiated the Mainz Action Plan against Child Poverty. The Mainz Alliance for Families has organized two conferences on this topic in recent years. On this page, you will find information about the status quo and how Mainz intends to tackle child poverty in the city.
