Transition from school to work

Youth employment assistance measures of the state capital Mainz

Young people's career plans have become increasingly diverse in recent years, with the demands placed on them growing and often requiring support and guidance to meet these challenges.

With measures to support the transition from school to work, the state capital of Mainz aims to enable young people and young adults to make a successful transition from school to training or work. These measures include the Jobfux project and the Youth Employment Agency.

The Jobfux program is coordinated and supported in Mainz by the state capital Mainz with funding from the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and the European Social Fund Plus.

The Jobfux project

Jobfüxe are experts in training and professional qualification. The Jobfux project is aimed at students and their legal guardians in the seventh, eighth, and ninth grades at schools offering vocational training (secondary schools and integrated comprehensive schools). Jobfux accompanies and supports students in their transition from school to work and remains available as a contact person even after they leave school. The focus is on a seamless transition to training and thus entry into a qualified professional life.
