Salary
The remuneration and classification of the mayor and deputy mayors is regulated by the state ordinance on the remuneration and expense allowances of full-time municipal elected officials (Kommunal-Besoldungsverordnung).
The mayor is classified in salary grade B 8. According to the State Remuneration Ordinance, this corresponds to a basic salary of €11,570.77, or €11,770.77 from November onwards.
In addition, the mayor and the deputy mayors receive an expense allowance. This is also specified in the Local Government Remuneration Ordinance.
The mayor received an expense allowance of €437.15.

There is an obligation to declare secondary employment in the public sector or equivalent service if the maximum value of €9,600 is exceeded. Attendance fees are to be taken into account if they exceed €160 in individual cases or a total of €1,900 in a calendar year.
