Library consulting

Training to become a specialist in media and information services—specializing in libraries—takes place within the dual system, lasts a total of three years, and consists of:

Recruitment requirements

  • Qualified secondary school diploma with at least satisfactory grades or technical college entrance qualification/high school diploma
  • German language skills at level C1 with at least satisfactory performance 

Start and duration of training

On August 1 of each year for a period of three years.

Remuneration

1st year of training: €1,368.26/month
2nd year of training: €1,418.20/month
3rd year of training: €1,464.02/month

Application deadline

We offer apprenticeships based on our staffing needs in order to provide our trainees with a high chance of being hired. Therefore, we are not offering any apprenticeship positions in this field for the 2027 training year. Please refrain from applying at this time.
