Training to become an office management assistant is carried out within the dual system, lasts a total of three years, and consists of:
- Practical work in various departments (opens in a new tab)of the Mainz city administration
- Theoretical instruction at the Vocational School for Economics and Administration (BBS III (opens in a new tab)) in Mainz

Recruitment requirements
- Qualified secondary school diploma with at least satisfactory grades or technical college entrance qualification/high school diploma
- German language skills at level C1 with at least satisfactory performance
Start and duration of training
August 1, 2026, for a period of 3 years
Remuneration
1st year of training: €1,368.26/month
2nd year of training: €1,418.20/month
3rd year of training: €1,464.02/month
