As proof, the pension insurance fund may require you to provide a life certificate. This is an official document issued by the relevant authority upon request.

You can apply for the life certificate in person at the relevant office.

The life certificate is usually issued immediately upon personal application.

• As proof for foreign pension insurance providers and private insurance companies (e.g., company pensions): may be subject to a fee
  •  Outside the EU and Switzerland: subject to a fee

• Cash (for in-person applications)

• SEPA direct debit mandate (for written applications)
