The children's city map guides children and young people to the most beautiful playgrounds and meeting places in the city. Designed in a child-friendly format with easy-to-understand graphics and illustrations, it has been tailored to the needs of children. The play and leisure facilities were, of course, carefully examined beforehand. Over 400 children tested the facilities in their neighborhood. The project's cooperation partner is the Allgemeine Zeitung Mainz newspaper, whose children's character "Leo" guides readers through the city map.

The children's city map is available free of charge from all local authorities, children's and youth facilities, and the Office for Youth and Family Affairs of the state capital Mainz. The map and specific information for each district can also be downloaded from the website www.jugend-in-mainz.de.
