Training and labor market promotion projects
Educational support
Career guidance measures help to broaden knowledge about the wide range of occupations and vocational training options available. Good counseling and support also help young people to form a realistic picture of suitable occupations and career paths and to assess their own interests and strengths. This promotes young people's ability to make informed and well-founded career choices.
Immigrant families are often unfamiliar with the various options offered by the vocational training system. They often do not yet have the social networks that students can draw on for information when choosing a career. In general, parents are usually the first point of contact and advisors when it comes to their children's career orientation, which is why they should be involved in professional orientation measures at an early stage. This is more difficult for immigrant families due to language barriers.
Labor market promotion
Labor market promotion encompasses measures taken by the federal government, states, and local authorities to prevent unemployment, promote skills development, and facilitate integration into the labor market. The measures aim to improve employability and support the balance between supply and demand in the labor market.
