Learning workshop KlimaWandelWeg
Climate, climate change, climate protection and climate impact adaptation in Rhineland-Palatinate
The Climate Change Trail is available at the Green and Environment Office of the state capital Mainz. The Climate Change Trail is a learning workshop with high-quality materials divided into nine stations. These stations can be used to explore the individual aspects and consequences of climate change and the resulting measures for climate protection.
By working through the individual stations, the students engage with the individual aspects in small groups in a factual, reflective, and creative manner. This results in independent teamwork guided by work assignments, which illustrates the global issue of climate change.
What makes the KlimaWandelWeg so special?
The content of this learning workshop is based on climate data from the Competence Center for Climate Change Impacts in Rhineland-Palatinate. At each station, students work with climate data and climate forecasts from their immediate region and can contribute their own experiences and observations. They thus deal with both the global and local effects of climate change.
