Best Of Wine Tourism Award 2010
Architecture, parks and gardens: Domhof Winery, Guntersblum
Incidentally, the owners of the Domhof winery in Guntersblum have created Rheinhessen's first wine aroma garden in the grounds of their estate: the winery's four leading regional grape varieties are combined with plants that represent the aroma of the wines.
The garden also serves as an event center. With their specialization in special events, Chris and Alexander Baumann offer the expertise that turns a private celebration into an unforgettable experience. An official branch of the registry office has been set up in the old horse stable of the Domhof, so that nothing stands in the way of a perfect wedding in a historic setting. The traditional estate, which formerly belonged to the cathedral chapter of the city of Worms, has been family-owned since 1874 and is now run with the enthusiasm of the younger generation. In 2010, the winery received the Best of Award in the category of architecture, parks, and gardens.
