Owned by the Schmitz family of entrepreneurs from Mainz since March 2013, the winery and its associated buildings and park have since been revitalized. The Wilhelminian style villa was built between 1881 and 1883 in the neoclassical style and was considered a highly modern estate building at the time.

Next to the listed estate villa and winery is a spacious, equally listed park with mature trees, which invites visitors to stroll around. The carefully renovated rooms exude a special sense of value. With the deliberate use of stylistic elements, the stately winery building has been appropriately modernized and a dignified environment created for presenting the wines.

The newly designed wine shop, where you can taste the estate's own Burgundy wines at your leisure, also exudes timeless elegance. In 2016, it was awarded the Wine Architecture Prize by the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Architects.
