This year’s Award for Art and Culture goes to the Jean Buscher Winery in Bechtheim, in southern Rheinhessen. In addition to its commitment to sustainability in viticulture and comprehensive, personalized customer service for themed wine tastings, celebrations, and conferences, the winery—which has been family-run for generations—particularly stands out for its art program: Since 1984, the family has hosted an annual “Art and Wine” event. Artworks by renowned national and international artists, surrounded by wooden barrels, wine presses, and bottles, offer a unique art experience along the “Walk of Art.”
