The award in the accommodation category goes to the Weinhotel Kaisergarten in Alzey. Since October 2014, this first-class hotel with its 47 rooms has been filling a gap in this tourist segment. Guests encounter the hotel's wine-loving character everywhere: right in the lobby, a wine bar invites them to taste the wines, while fossils and terroir formations on which the wines of the Biegler&Brand family are grown are displayed on the walls.
The categories of the minimalist rooms are based on wine quality levels. For example, there are Spätlese (late harvest) and Auslese (select harvest) rooms. An adjoining wine shop offering sales and tastings rounds off the ensemble perfectly.
