Half-lane closure and one-way traffic on Landwehrweg
Starting Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Mainzer Netze will be conducting civil engineering work on Landwehrweg to lay power and communication cables as part of the network expansion for the University Medical Center.
The work will be carried out in several construction phases, and a one-way traffic system will be implemented on Landwehrweg in the direction of Zahlbacher Steig. The first two construction phases will affect the area between Pariser Straße and Rathenaustraße and are expected to last until August 7, 2026. For this purpose, one side of the sidewalk and, in some sections, one lane of traffic will be closed. Private motor vehicle traffic will be rerouted via Obere Zahlbacher Straße – An der Philippsschanze – Pariser Straße. Bicycle traffic will be routed via Stahlbergstraße. Pedestrians can pass the construction site on one side.
