Extension of parking times with parking disk or parking ticket
In the various residents' parking areas in the city, there are sections that are not exclusively available to residents. This is legally stipulated for residents' parking areas in the road traffic regulations.
In future, parking with a parking disc or parking ticket in resident parking areas will be extended to the period from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The aim of this measure is to significantly reduce parking pressure in the evening hours and to improve the parking situation for residents in the long term.
Previously, parking with a parking disc or parking ticket was only possible until 8:00 p.m. Due to the maximum parking time of 1.5 or 2 hours, non-residents could park their vehicles from around 6:00 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. and park legally overnight.
The extended parking management hours should noticeably improve the evening parking situation for holders of a resident parking permit. There will be a new regulation of parking times, but not of the managed parking areas.
The change will be implemented gradually, and we ask that you pay attention to the current signage.
