From December 1, you can once again marvel at our virtual Advent calendar on the large screen in the window of the Mainz environmental store. Every day for 24 days leading up to Christmas Eve, we will be sharing little tips for the festive season with you. A new door will open every day.

Every year, we celebrate Christmas. For twelve months, we look forward to the wonderful atmosphere, spending time with family and friends, and, of course, the presents.

However, this time is often associated with a lot of stress, and other important issues take a back seat. We don't notice that tons of waste are generated every year, that thousands of Christmas trees are cut down and imported again, that many cubic meters of CO2 are emitted because of all the things we buy and consume.

With this little guide, we want to give you alternatives and tips on how you can easily make your Christmas season more sustainable and still have a wonderful Christmas Eve. Maybe this year with a little less stress and a lot more joy.
