Design and craftsmanship
Are you interested in craftsmanship and would like to create something with your hands? Lay the foundations for your future as a bricklayer.
Training to become a bricklayer takes a total of 3 years and consists of:
- Practical training at Gebäudewirtschaft Mainz (GWM) and partner companies
- School-based training at the Vocational School for Trade and Technology (BBS I) in Mainz
- and inter-company courses with targeted exam preparation at the Rheinhessen Chamber of Crafts

Recruitment requirements
- At least satisfactory vocational maturity or qualified secondary school diploma
- German language skills at level B2 with at least satisfactory performance
Start and duration of training
On August 1 of each year for a period of three years.
Remuneration
1st year of training: €1,368.26/month
2nd year of training: €1,418.20/month
3rd year of training: €1,464.02/month
