Media technologist
Are you interested in creating print products in the artisanal and artistic fields? Would you like to learn the art of letterpress printing as well as modern printing processes? Then complete your training as a media technologist at the Gutenberg Museum, the world museum of the art of printing according to all the rules of the "black art".
Training to become a media technologist takes a total of three years and consists of:
- practical training at the Gutenberg Museum (opens in a new tab) and in partner companies
- classes at the Vocational School for Trade and Technology (BBS I (opens in a new tab)) in Mainz

- At least a qualified secondary school leaving certificate I
- German language skills at level C1 with at least satisfactory performance
Start and duration of training
August 1, 2026, for a period of 3 years
Remuneration
1st year of training: €1,368.26/month
2nd year of training: €1,418.20/month
3rd year of training: €1,464.02/month
