Discoveries in Drais

Another discovery in our series leads to Mainz-Drais.

Village square in Mainz-Drais

A Draiser lark can be found in Mainz's smallest district. It sits on the hand of the figure on the "Lerchenbub fountain" in the village square. While strolling through the village, you can linger here for a while and look around. By the way: the fountain is decorated at Easter and during Advent, and there is plenty going on here in the village center during the Kerb festival in August.

Fruit fields in Mainz-Drais

For those seeking peace and quiet, a walk through the Draiser Senke valley is ideal, for example from the Protestant church towards Lerchenberg. You can relax in the fresh air in the orchards at any time of year. The sea of blossoms in spring is particularly beautiful, of course.
