Since 2008, the Kunsthalle Mainz has been showing contemporary art in several temporary exhibitions per year in its 840 square meter exhibition space. The focus is on painting, photography, and video. The selection of works is primarily based on quality: works by renowned German artists are presented, but also works by lesser-known artists. However, it is not only art from recent years that is exhibited, but also products by creators who will only be able to work as artists in the future.
