Purpose of the association
The Bläserphilharmonie Süd-West is one of Germany's leading symphonic wind orchestras and is based in Mainz. The orchestra's young musicians, aged between 15 and 35, are music students, amateurs, and professional musicians, including many active and former members of federal and state youth ensembles and winners of the "Jugend musiziert" competition. Several times a year,
they come together from several federal states and neighboring countries for several days of work and concerts.
