The purpose of the association is

• to care for and promote the care of people suffering from multiple sclerosis or similar diseases. This includes, in particular, providing social counseling for MS sufferers and their families, arranging and creating social assistance and services, and providing advice on treatment and rehabilitation for multiple sclerosis sufferers.
• To inform the public about the diseases in order to promote understanding of the special problems faced by patients and to raise funds for the work of the association.
• To promote research into the development, treatment, and cure of multiple sclerosis.
