The Musikverein Hechtsheim 1903 e.V. performs in three different ensembles: the brass ensemble, the saxophone quartet, and the MVH Big Band.

While the smaller ensembles are in demand for sacred, festive, and artistic events, the MVH Big Band plays at music, city, company, family, and courtyard festivals, as well as private and charitable events. The big band from Mainz mainly plays classics from the swing and big band era (instrumental and with vocals), supplemented by newer big band arrangements.
