A symphony orchestra with a long tradition, dedicated to promoting musical culture in Mainz. It is open to any musician who wants to play challenging music under competent direction. Over the past 40 years, it has developed into one of the largest and most successful symphony orchestras of its kind in the Rhine-Main region.

With Michael Millard, conductor at the Mainz State Theater, the orchestra is led by a committed and enthusiastic musician. With him and other musicians/lecturers from the surrounding state theaters, the varied programs are rehearsed on a regular basis.
