The association aims to research the history of Bretzenheim and Zahlbach and their inhabitants and to promote related activities. These goals are served by lectures, excursions, guided tours, publications, the collection, documentation, and evaluation of written, oral, and factual sources and testimonies. The association also maintains relationships with institutions and associations with similar or identical goals in the Mainz area (clubhouse with museum: Dantestraße 13 in Bretzenheim). The museum is currently undergoing renovation and cannot be visited until further notice.
