The purpose of the association is to strengthen and deepen German-French cooperation by promoting German-French societies and their youth groups in both countries. The association's activities extend in particular to cultural, economic, social, and political areas that affect the populations of Germany and France and their international cooperation. The association supports all democratic efforts toward European unification.
