For the development or redesign of areas, built-up and undeveloped plots of land can be reorganized by redistribution in accordance with the Building Code (BauGB) in such a way that plots of land are created that are suitable for construction or other uses in terms of location, shape, and size.

Under certain conditions, the municipality can carry out a simplified reallocation in accordance with the Building Code. The simplified reallocation can usually be completed more quickly due to the streamlined procedural requirements.

Landowners can submit an application for simplified reallocation. The reallocation
office initiates the procedure after checking its admissibility.

Depending on the procedure, applicants shall bear the costs of the proceedings in accordance with the current schedule of fees of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
