The Building Authority’s four departments handle, among other things, matters related to state contracts for the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. For example, the lower building inspection authority and the lower historic preservation authority are housed within the Building Authority. The official surveying office, as well as the offices of the land readjustment committee and the expert committee, are also located within the Building Authority. In addition, the authority handles traditional administrative tasks such as personnel, budgetary, and committee matters.
